Mission Statement

To provide motorsports therapy, community, and recreation to military veterans

What do we actually do?

There are multiple goals within the organization aimed at making life better for military veterans & their families. First and foremost, we want to get veterans involved in motorsports anyway we can. Whether it be doing regional endurance racing, autocross, motor-cross, rally, going to the drag-strip, or even just taking cars to a course for test-n-tune - racing is a team sport and we aim to build teams of passionate people with the collective goal of getting veterans out there on the track going fast. Furthermore, we aim at building a broader community through various motorsports events and reaching as many veterans as we can. Our secondary mission is to help out veterans in need more generally, with a major focus on handicap-modified vehicles & handicap veteran transport as well.

how we raise funds?

We have a handful of mechanisms for growing the funds we need for our various motorsports endeavors. Obviously there is direct donations, but we also take vehicle donations, tools, equipment, etc. We understand the larger expenses associated with competitive motorsports, and believe the only way to achieve our ambition is to maximize every dollar in how its spent. This means investing money when appropriate, and using our diverse team to its maximum potential when opportunities arise that will give us a financial boost.

About the founder -

“I am an American military veteran. Although I have been out of the service for quite some time, my service will be tied to my identity for the rest of my life - within myself, as well as to the outside world. This is because of the unique experiences I was a part of and the amazing people I met along the way. Within me lives the fighting spirit of my entire nation. I remember and honor those we lost along the way and hold myself to a higher standard in memory to those that never made it home. With these fires burning inside me, there are times I feel I can do anything; I fear nothing of this world.

However, sometimes my experience as a veteran feels like something that is more difficult to describe. Sometimes being a veteran, I feel like I was conditioned for a purpose that no longer exists for me. Sometimes I fear my service has changed me in ways I am unaware. Sometimes I feel invisible. Sometimes I feel like there's a fire inside me burning so hot, I feel as though I may burst into flames and be gone from this world. It is difficult to say how many people around me understand how my service impacted my life, but I feel a connection and kinship with other veterans I come into contact with that I can't really articulate or quantify. Every time I meet a fellow veteran, no matter where or when they served, it feels like we all grew up in the same foxhole.

Unfortunately for all of us, veterans make up only 6.8% of the adult U.S. population; our ability to connect with one another is limited.

In my mind's eye, I see an organization that not only provides community and connection with fellow veterans, but also provides a challenge to overcome as a team. Although I have nothing against something like a veteran softball team or local dart league, I have been trained by my country to go to war, and believe the only pursuit that will give me comfort is not something that is simple or casual, but something that is difficult or even next to impossible. I see an organization bringing veterans together, from all ages and backgrounds, to facilitate the collective sharing of knowledge and resources that will allow us to proliferate into competitive motorsports [of all types]. Moreover, I see an organization that will give veterans chances to do things in their lives that will forever impact their journey to heal from the wounds of war, and reintegrate themselves back into our society. This is what it means to be a veteran to me. This is Wrenches 4 Warriors.”
